This device is desined to transfer data between PC and CNC equiped mashines using photo reader interface. Full optical isolation between interfaces, serial to parallel data conversion and encoding are realized. The device is based on single chip microcontroller PIC16C84. The serial data transfer between PC and the converter is software controlled. Hardware /DTR-DSR/ and software /XON-XOFF/ flow control is available. The incoming data are buffered and encoding.Fixed baud rate 4800 bps, even parity and 7 bits must be set. The device is externally powered with +5V DC.
